THE WORLD THROUGH CHANEL'S EYES

A05F5816-BA9E-4929-9872-9B58F31AA949.jpeg

Hi! My name is Chanel Leonard. I am currently a first year graduate student at Middlebury Institute of International Studies(MIIS) studying International Policy and Development with a concentration in Spanish. I am passionate about promoting global competence through educational policies both in the US and abroad. I am interested in international education policies, more specifically researching countries (as well as states) that lack the necessary resources to provide a proper educational environment. This includes trained educators/teachers, the permittance of girls/ women in the classroom, school supplies, providing food for those who may not have access to food outside of school, after school activities that help promote students' interests, and programs that provide students with the option to move on to higher education.

As an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, I received my B.As in Communication and French, and spent a semester studying sbroad in Nice. FR. . After graduating, I went to live in Madrid as a Teacher's Assistant (Auxiliare de Conversacion) for 6 months due to COVID. Presently I am interested in working with education-centered firms that promote student mobility and global competence through policy.

Below I have my CV available to further demonstrate my experience.
